Why Seniorman Exists

Prevention through routine, belonging and early support, so no man has to face life alone.

The Problem We Address

Across Derby, many men aged 18-55 are quietly struggling with loneliness, isolation and pressure they never say out loud. Too often, help only arrives once things have reached crisis point.

Seniorman offers a different route: a practical pathway into brotherhood, healthy routine and peer-led support, before problems escalate.

What We Have Achieved So Far

In our first months, we have reached over 50 men through fortnightly Walking Football, wellbeing workshops, weekly peer support and community days, working alongside three local partner organisations across Derby. Every figure on this page is counted and verified. We are committed to honest, sustainable growth and measurable outcomes as Seniorman expands.measurable outcomes as the programme expands.

Programme Outcomes

50+

Men Reached

Individual men aged 18-55 reached through Seniorman Network's sessions, events and online community. Each man is counted once, however many times he takes part.

20+

Peer Calls

Peer support conversations through The Bench, our weekly space where men can talk openly, listen to each other and know they are not facing things alone.

50+

Activity Attendances

Total attendances across Walking Football, wellbeing workshops, Barbing & Brotherhood Days and peer support meetings. This counts every visit, so it is higher than the number of individual men.

100+

Volunteer Hours

Hours given freely by volunteers to plan, host and support our programmes, showing the community commitment behind everything Seniorman delivers.

50+

Wellbeing Check-ins

Check-ins with men to see how they are doing, listen without judgement and point them towards further help where it is needed.

3

Referral Partners

Referrals made to and from local partners, including New Arrivals Alliance, Upbeat Communities and Derby Refugee Forum, so men are connected to the right support.

5

Workshops Delivered

Wellbeing workshops delivered in person and online, covering topics men often find hard to talk about, such as mental health, relationships, money and identity.

4

Football Sessions

Walking Football sessions delivered fortnightly, giving men a relaxed, low-pressure way to stay active, build friendships and look after their physical and mental health.

Testimonials

What Men And Partners Say

"Really enjoyed today's training guys."

Ben Iyke Aninze · Member feedback on Walking Football

"For 11 years I paid every bill alone. At the end of every month I had £15 left — and I thought that was just what being a man meant. If Seniorman Network had existed when I got married, maybe I'd be a richer man today."

Funmi O · Member feedback on RealTalk

"Loneliness creeps in without one really knowing. You don't have people to narrate what you're going through — and that's what causes high blood pressure in men. If Seniorman had existed, I would have made a referral. Just for him to have someone to talk to"

Jide Banwo · Member feedback on RealTalk

"I came to England with my qualifications and experience. My first job was a chicken production factory in the cold. Condition make crayfish bench. It is for the strong. It is not for the faint-hearted — and Seniorman gets that."

Seyi on RealTAlk · Member feedback On RealTAlk

"I attended the Seniorman session on Friday. It was a very insightful session. Really got some useful info and advice. Well done for hosting."

KC Okenwa · Member feedback on Seniormandate Vol 1

"Seniorman gave me a space where I could just be a man among men. No performance. No pretending. These men understood without me having to explain. That first Sunday changed something in me."
